The brief was to create an innovative new shoe in which the user can benefit from current technological advancements to improve performance. I decided to move into the Football boot market and create a grip like shoe that used the performance of a lightweight upper made from a Teijin synthetic material, as current market trends leant more towards boots with light weight and improved performance features. The sole plate itself was a performance and marketing feature, using carbon fiber as a focal point of the look of the boot as well as a offering a rigid feeling when pushing off from the ground. The A in white would act as the grip element, using a polymer based coating to which would last the lifetime of the shoe to offer great performance in normal and wet conditions. The shoe was made from standardized EU sizing and constructed in Solid Works, and later 3D printed in a smaller scale to demonstrate the overall shape.
